Meet Autumn
I was licensed in Oregon in 2004, having studied at the Boulder College of Massage Therapy in Boulder, Colorado. After graduating with honors in 2003 with 1,130 hours completed in the certificate program in Massage Therapy, I gained experience as a Teaching Assistant in Zen Shiatsu at BCMT. Practicing primarily Swedish, Sports, Deep Tissue Massage, and Shiatsu Bodywork, I have been in private practice in Oregon since 2005. I feel very passionate about working with clients to aid in their healing, relaxation, and injury recovery, giving therapeutic massage to the general population and weekend warriors, and working with novice and amateur runners and cyclists. I am a member of the American Massage Therapy Association (AMTA) to stay abreast of current industry information and news. I am CPR and First Aid certified. Further education includes a background in Kinesiology from the University of Colorado at Boulder and a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology from Portland State University.
Massage and bodywork affect not only the body, but they affect our emotions, minds, and spirits as well. In addition to recovering from injury or postural dysfunction, massage aids in restoring a calm mind and sense of wellbeing, and enhances self-awareness. I am honored to utilize my skills as an LMT to facilitate in my clients’ recovery, relaxation, and overall health. My clients are individuals who seek balance in their hectic lives and are committed to making change in their bodies, emotions, minds, and spirits. They feel empowered to participate in their own healing.
